Normandy Park’s annual 4th of July celebration, which includes a Fun Run, parade, fireworks and other activities, has sadly been cancelled.

“It is with a very sad heart, that in light of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, the 2020 4th of July Normandy Park Community Celebration has been canceled,” The Cove announced on its Facebook page on Wednesday, May 6. “This event draws several thousand people and it is unknown when the ban on large gatherings will be lifted.”

This difficult decision was made by the Normandy Park Board of Trustees for the safety and health of our community.

“We look forward to a brighter future when we can once again celebrate together.”

Burien’s Three Tree Point 4th of July block party/fireworks has also been canceled for 2020.
