On Wednesday, Oct. 14, 2020, the Seattle Southside Chamber, in partnership with the City of Normandy Park, announced the launch of Phase II Local Aid (CARES Relief for Small Businesses) in the City of Normandy Park.

The funds available in this grant process originated from the Federal CARES Act and were distributed to cities throughout the State of Washington and King County. One of the eligible uses of grant funds is the provision of economic support and grants to small businesses, which Normandy Park is awarding to local small businesses.

During Phase I of the Local Aid Program, originally Sept. 11 through Oct. 2, Normandy Park received just over 12 applications for grant funding. With additional funds remaining, the City has committed to launching Phase II to connect and award additional support to those businesses that may not have had an opportunity to apply during or didn’t meet the eligibility requirements of the Phase I application.

Any business with a physical location within Normandy Park city limits is invited to apply. Businesses are encouraged to review the revised application, as eligibility requirements are less restrictive during Phase II. Applications for Phase II will be accepted until 4:00pm on October 30th.
